Great page! It is very organized, informative, and you make good use of photos. One interesting fact I found out recently regarding abortion in BC is that there is a certain clinic that offers free IUD's to women who have had to have an abortion. I have heard they are a pretty expensive form of contraception otherwise. I think your Wiki page is detailed enough, but if you were interested to add more information regarding abortion in BC specifically this is a topic you could research.

Content and references

Hello! I think you're off to a great start with this wiki. I really like how you defined all the terms you will be discussing as well as the perspectives you are using to analyze topics (such as the feminist perspective).

One content suggestion I have is to also mention the media and how influences such as TV shows as well as social media have on the topic as that is a big contributor to stigmatization.

I also have a couple of structural suggestions to possibly improve the page. One is that I noticed you mentioned "I will be focusing on abortion stigma within the American context" and typically Wikipedia pages are not written in first person but rather in third person. You could rephrase this by starting the sentence instead with "Within an American context...". I also noticed how you are referencing in brackets but I believe in Wikipedia you can simply reference with the footnote that you already have there, so the in text citations are not required.

Good luck and I can't wait to read the final page!

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I wanted to really focus in on 2 cases of stigmatization instead of having many topics that are not as well developed within the word count. As for the citations, I just had them in at the beginning to keep track of my footnotes so I didn't skip anything, but my completed page has them removed. Thank you for the reminder :)

Hello!

I think your Wikipage is very well organized and has some great points! You bring in feminist perspectives, discuss very important key topics such as abortion, women's rights and do a good job of going in-depth about the roots of this stigmatization. I was actually thinking of doing a similar topic but decided to dive specifically into writing about sexism and birth control. Women's reproductive health rights should be free of discrimination, violence, and coercion. I think a great addition to your Wikipage would be to include topics of women's rights surrounding sterilization, in which you can add to when you discuss abortion. I read an article that women tend to face difficulties when it comes to making decisions like these compared to men who choose to sterilize. Doctors are more reluctant to provide this to women compared to men, saying that most women will regret their decision or that it is a silly decision to make. This is just another example of how women lack control and freedom of choice over what they do with their bodies and reproductive health.
