Hi, this is actually a huge topic to take on, so bravo for all the efforts! With regards to the Queerness in the history of China (if you didn't intend to cover this topic, maybe you could limit your scope by changing your title to Queerness in Contemporary China), it would be super interesting to look at how queer culture has been represented in social artifacts and who has been represented to engage in queer activities. I'm not too sure what is the answer to this question, but does "queerness" carry the same deviant connotations that you noted in contemporary China back a couple hundred years?

With regards to Queerness in Contemporary China, I believe you can also expand your investigation on how Queerness intersects with gender role expectations and heteronormativity that is deeply engrained in the concept of family continuity. I find conversion therapy leaded by the Central government to be a really controversial topic - but at the same time, this subtopic could be a page on its own.

Compliments and Suggestions

Hi! I really enjoyed your topic and it's something I'd love to learn more about. I see that you've mentioned the attitude the older generation has towards queerness, but you could also talk about how people our age feel about it, and how it differs from the older generation. You can also talk about the influence that western pop culture has had on younger generations, especially with queer entertainers like Troye Sivan being popular in China.

Hello! I know this is a draft, but I would suggest adding the citations to definitions and statistics sooner than later in order for them to not be left forgotten. I would also suggest maybe changing the title to “Queerness in China” instead of “Queerness and China” as it does a better job in encompassing the fact that the page will be speaking about how China reacts to queerness as well as solidifies the connection between china and queerness. I’m excited to read the completed page!

Citations Needed

Hi! Great start so far! This is topic that needs to be touched more on. My only suggestion is to perhaps cite some of the definitions or provide links so your readers can read more about them! Some people may not be as familiar with some concepts.

Hi,

I really appreciate you tackling this topic! There's a rich history of homosexuality in China, but there's not as much that has been written about queerness and China. I know this is just a draft, so I don't know how you plan on executing this, but I'm thinking it would be a good idea to include the queer subcultures in China. Other than that, I love your idea and I'm really excited to read the rest of it!
