f(x)=(3x2+4x+1)ex3+2x2+x3.

From part (a), we know that ex3+2x2+x30. That implies that f(x)=0 when 3x2+4x+1=0. Factoring, we get (3x+1)(x+1)=0, which means x=13,1. That means there are two solutions for when f(x)=0.
