UBC Human Resources and the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology (CTLT) are pleased to announce an extension to the pilot of lynda.com resources to UBC faculty and staff. This service is available to all UBC faculty and staff between April 1, 2014, and March 31, 2015, at no additional charge to UBC employees.

Lynda.ubc.ca is an online collection of instructional videos designed to provide just-in-time training in a variety of areas, including software skills development, learning technology tools, and professional business practices. Many other universities, such as Harvard and MIT, provide lynda.com resources to their faculty and staff. UBC has provided access to lynda.com to UBC admin support staff since April 2013, and a university-wide pilot has been underway since Nov. 1, 2013.

UBC HR and CTLT gratefully acknowledge financial contributions to the pilot form the Faculty of Land and Food Systems’ Learning Centre, the Job Skills Training Program, and the BCGEU Support Staff PD Fund.
