LFS:Connect/Accessing My Course

If you are not sure if your course is in Connect or Vista please check http://elearning.ubc.ca/connect/wheres-my-course or ask your instructor.


Logging In to Connect

To log in to Connect to access your course(s) go to http://connect.ubc.ca <http://connect.ubc.ca/> and click on the “CWL Login” link. Use your CWL ID and password to login. After logging in, you will be directed to the My Connect page, which is your homepage. You will be able to access your course(s) by clicking on the course link(s) in the My Courses module.


To access your WebCT Vista course(s) go to http://vista.ubc.ca <http://vista.ubc.ca/> and click on the “CWL Login” link. Use your CWL ID and password to login.


I logged in but the course is not listed

If you log in and do not see your courses listed in either system, please check with your instructor.


Logging Out

When you have finished using Connect or Vista, to ensure that you are completely logged out of the system, please exit your browser and not just the browser tab session, particularly if you are working on a campus lab or public area (i.e. library) computer. Your session may remain active until you have completely closed your browser.


I need more help

If you require support or are having issues logging in to either system, please contact the IT Service Centre Help Desk. Please advise them which system you are experiencing difficulty with and have the information, below, available so they can better assist you. (Phone number: 604.822.2008.   1. Student name
  2. Student number
  3. Description of the issue or problem
  4. Date and time of the issue or problem
  5. Browser and version you are using when problem occurs (ie: Firefox Version 8)
  6. Computer information (your operating system) ie: Windows 7 or Mac 10.6


Late Registration to Course

Finally, if you registered today please allow up to 24 hours for courses to become available to you in either learning management system.
