Links to uploaded pdf files
(this problem has been resolved now -DavidKohler 21:48, 13 September 2010 (UTC))
Hi, how do you link to a pdf file without having a thumbnail being automatically created?
If I write: [[Media:filename.pdf]] I get a link with no thumbnail, but with a strange indent in front of it.

Hi David,
I've tested this and don't get a space - maybe you inadvertently added a space inside the brackets? Maybe give it another try.

Hi, I don't think so. Could you maybe have a look here on my wiki page, there's a link for a pdf file, the behaviour seems a bit weird to me. Thanks for the help DavidKohler 17:40, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi David,
I checked your page, the link looks good - exactly how it should - and the pdf opens nicely. Looked at it on a couple of different browsers (Firefox and IE).

Thank you Cindy, it is simply a bug in Chrome then. I'll keep this in mind.

missing list of pages? | 0 | 00:21, 24 August 2016 |
This page says something about the following pages providing information on how to upload various media, but then there is no list of pages besides the "see also" at the bottom. I think the list of pages should be subpages under "adding media" in the help documents? Like adding media/video, adding media/images, etc.?
