How are Entries Organised

Entries are partially grouped by topic and alphabetization. The first section of the resource, Camping Sentences, is organized topically by camping activities such as picking up wood, building a fire, assembling a tent, and several more. These entries are all sentences and include the sentence in English with the Kansa translation.

The following section, Useful Vocabulary, is organized alphabetically by English in the English to Kanza section and by Kansa in the Kanza to English section. These entries include the headword in English or Kansa and the translation in the other language. Some entries include a symbol from the key included at the beginning of the English to Kanza section. These symbols include pronouns, a new word, and an irregular pattern.

The final section of word lists, Kanza Verb Conjugation, is organized by verb types, which include regular active verbs, various stem active verbs, glottal/nasal vowel-stem verbs, and regular stative verbs. Within each verb type there are four entries–first person singular, first person plural, second person singular, and third person singular–listed English to Kansa. Each type also includes examples, listed Kansa to English.

Prior to the word lists there is an alphabet and sound system chart, and following the word lists there is a section discussing sentence formation.
