From UBC Wiki

Work space for EDST Communications Committee.

Action Items

Adrian
  • look into existing UBC resources on video streaming/podcast
Roweena
  • ask Faculty about their presence (if any) at BCTF AGM
Unassigned
  • ask student council about Twitter for one program area as a pilot

Procedures

Send information on public talks, awards, recognition, research, to Jon Hicke.

As requested by Dean Frank (Feb. 17): "It is my expectation as Dean that we have staff in each unit responsible for some level of communication and that people are accountable to send the information to JON HICKE re events in your units. I continue to hear about conferences, events, presentations which NEVER reach the digital signage and never reach our website."

J. Archibald video

Adrian reports: I spoke to Jon H., who told me the Faculty is producing a video featuring Joanne Archibald speaking on indigenous education in general. She will briefly mention the Year of Indigenous Education. It will not feature AERA. It is booked to be produced in the coming two weeks. We should keep this in mind when planning our own video. We can link/embed the resulting video from our site, and consider creating our own with a focus on AERA, depending on Joanne’s availability.
