  • Certificate Program - and how we can support as a group
    • Modelling on TDP. Training faculty, student staff on aspects on open.
    • Cohort type of program.
    • Most of the content will be online +cohort type of activity.
    • Canvas Course + WordPress as a front-face. (can do something similar to eCampus Ontario or extend, UDG Agora or DSL 106- such as challenges/tries )
    • Rational to use Canvas Course vs Canvas in general.
      • Discussion tool that is more open than canvas (open to anyone who register for course)
      • the link to the course will be on WordPress site.
      • Question: Who's coming in to the course? Anyone from around the world can register?
        • pilot in 1st year to be limited.

      • Analytics better on catalogue
      • only amount @@ ubc people in the course, but course content is open
      • Use Normal Canvas
    • Canvas Catalogue as an option? the problem is, there are not many integration with Canvas Catalogue.
    • Tuesday nov. 26 1-2 Will, Lucas, Rie will work on program description for Tuesday on what the plan of the certification is about.
    • 1-2 page of plan/rational/timeline is needed.
      • Work with Sukhi to work on marketing plan so better to start early.
    • WordPress: Hub/How people find, What is self employment.
      • Challenges in Wordpress(so that participant can participate without enrolment)
      • Name: Open Development Program (ODP)

  • Wiki Update
    • LDAP and wiki username glitch
    • Steven worked the glitch will be fixed next week when Pan is back.
    • The problem is, the LDAP plugin will be broken if mediawiki update to newer version. The glitch is on Mediawiki side.
