Subjects completed their self-constructed questionnaire through an online Google document on their own time. The online questionnaire was finalized and administrated by Dr. Jaimie Veale and sent to subjects as a link via email. The complete questionnaire requires approximately 30 minutes for completion. In this final version, there is a total of 89 questions related to gender diagnosticity, as well as five further questions collecting demographic information, including gender, age, ethnicity and religion. Subjects were also asked to report their scores on the Big Five personality traits (i.e., extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness). The scores for the Big Five personality traits were scored using a questionnaire on pages 13 and 14 of the Course Reader provided for the class. For the first 3 collective questions, subjects were asked to rate their preference for 98 occupations, 66 activities and 32 hobbies by 7 possible responses scaling from "strongly dislike" to "strongly like." The remaining pages were composed of some general multiple choice questions relating to habits, behaviors, feelings, preferences, etc.

The format of the questions included closed-format questions, which allowed the respondents to answer to a list of options chosen by the authors; closed-list format ,which allowed the respondents to respond with more than one of the options that is provided (all that was applicable to them); a combination of closed-open questions allowing the respondent to add an option if they did not agree with any of the options provided; and also 7-point and 5-point Likert scale questions which measured the extent that the respondent agreed to a particular statement (Gratton and Jones, 2003).
