Project Scope Statement

Little Mountain Riley Park hired a Neighbourhood Food Network Coordinator in June 2014 as part of the Greenest City Action Plan. One of the first deliverables is to understand the food assets found in the area bounded by 16th Avenue in the north– 41st Avenue on the south; from Cambie to the west and Knight to the east. We need to establish the foundation of our current food assets that will inform policies, programs and services around food issues. The map will may include the locations of grocery stores, grocery delivery, grocery shopping assistance, holiday meals, meal delivery, community (and other models) gardens, community meals, emergency food, parks and green spaces, farmers markets, produce market programs (CSA’s), restaurants (with price point), free/low cost food programs and community food partner organizations.

Goals and Objectives:

To collect data to put in a database that can create a visual representation of the current food assets in Little Mountain Riley Park to be paper and online. To establish a foundation or base for current food assets in LMRP.
