Biogeosciences Reference Guide

Welcome to the Biogeosciences Reference Guide. This is a series of articles written by faculty and students in the Geographical Biogeosciences program. It is intended to serve as a set of reference resources that can be accessed by students of all levels who are taking GEOB courses. It will eventually be organized around the topics and terminology used in the various streams of Biogeoscience, including Biogeography, Climatology, Geographic Information Science, Geomorphology and Hydrology. To begin with, it will focus on Geomorphology and Hydrology. All of the articles begin with a brief, general introduction of the concept, then go into progressively more detail. The intention is that the introductory material will be suitable for most 1st year students first learning about the topic, while the subsequent sections will add details relevant to upper-year students as well.
