Listening to 'From Eden' by Hozier feels like stepping into a world of emotions and complexities. This song, blending folk, blues, and soul influences, weaves a narrative of a complicated relationship, filled with longing and a tangled web of attraction and caution. It's more than just music; it's a source of profound inspiration for my writing.

"From Eden" resonates with me on multiple levels. Its lyrics mirror the intricate dynamics of human connections, a theme that forms the heart of my creative work. The lines, "There's something tragic about you, something so magic about you," encapsulate the push and pull, the allure and apprehension that I seek to portray in my characters and their relationships. It encourages me to delve into the intricate web of human emotions and the depths of our interpersonal bonds.

However, the song doesn't shy away from revealing the darkness and brokenness within the relationship it describes. It's a reminder that not all love stories are straightforward or healthy. This, in turn, reinforces my commitment to creating characters with flaws, rendering them more relatable and genuine.

In my writing, I often find traces of "From Eden" when I explore characters navigating their desires and insecurities. It serves as a guiding light in my exploration of the messy, beautiful aspects of human connections, adding authenticity and depth to my stories.

Nonetheless, the song also serves as a poignant reminder that not every narrative should conclude with a happy ending. Just like in the song, some relationships are marked by turmoil. This compels me to maintain unwavering honesty in portraying the darker aspects of life, even when they are uncomfortable to confront.
