Yung Jake
Yung Jake is an internet artist and musician.
About The Artist
Yung Jake claims he was "was born on the internet in 2011".[1] Based out of Los Angeles, California, Yung Jake recieved his BFA in 2012 from the California Institute of the Arts.[2] His style of art blends musical rap videos and digitally produced videos that touch on the topics of hip-hop and music production, digital media, technology, social media and contemporary arts.[2] His digital art career started with his first viral video hit Datamosh. Since then he has expanded to include websites and interactive smart device apps in his artwork, creating interactive works such as Augmented Real. Yung Jake states that he chose rap as his main medium as part of a rejection of "the art world's inability to avoid talking about race"[1].
