Question 3, MATH 105, April 2010

Hey Erin,

I worked just after you on that Science:Math_Exam_Resources/Courses/MATH105/April_2010/Question_3, added a computer generated image and finished the computation. Let me know what you think about it, the end of the computation is sooooo ugly I'm willing to believe I did a mistake (or the person who wrote that question is out of their mind).

I was also working on it, I saved mine over yours (not because I think it's better, but so it's saved and we can compare it). I got the same result as you, the question seems poorly planned (fractional powers ugh). Could you look over them both and combine as you see fit?

Excellent! Then seems both agree, I'm writing it as QGH and QGS and will restore my version since it seems to be mostly the same with slightly more details. Feel free to edit it if you think it could be improved (for example I'm not sure if I should just keep fractional powers everywhere).

And this also means this exam is done now!

And if you could review my work there: Science:Math_Exam_Resources/Courses/MATH101/April_2010/Question_2_(a) we would finish off that exam as well!

Looks good!

I've added a second solution, using the washers method, which is a lot simpler for this question. Could you review it?
