About me

I’m Angelina Qiao and I am born in China. I studied at the Canadian international school of Beijing (CISB). I am eager to major in business management or media studies, because I have been taking both economy and business classes as IB high level courses, and I’m very interested in and confident with my knowledge of business and economics, as well as media and global market. Moreover, my father is a business man and he has achieved great accomplishment, which inspired me to do better than him in the future. Additionally, I’m one of the group members in the investment club in my school. We tried to make money within the school and then donate these profits to a “help investment” website. The fund receivers in the website are people who are having difficulty on finance but they are willing and desiring to start their own business.

For me in life, learning and communicating with people are both important to me because it helps me grow to learn more about people and life. For example, being able to learn with a lot of students from different backgrounds at the Canadian International School has allowed me to broaden my horizon and see things differently. There are a lot of different cultures and people in the world, and it is amazing and important to know more about them before we judge or give our opinions. Sometimes, when we have lived through different things, we will be able to understand each other better, and resolve conflicts in a peaceful way. Therefore, having the opportunity to talk with different people and experience different learning experience is really important to me.

My family is also important to me because they have inspired me to be a good person and independent girl. My father is a great businessman and he has been a role model to me. He has been a wonderful father figure because he shows me how to be responsible both at home and in his company. That has also influenced me to be a leader and actively participates in school activities. My mother, on the other hand, is a kind and great woman. She is very caring and attentive, especially when anything concerns me, she will try her best to help me out even if she doesn’t understand the language or our school’s business.
