About Me

Hi there! I'm Mailyn and I'm currently a first year student at the University of British Columbia. I moved out west from Toronto because I love the ocean and mountains and couldn't pass up an opportunity to be closer to both. I love travelling and hope to do more trips once the pandemic calms down. Growing up my family travelled to the Caribbean at least once a year which is where I fell in love with the ocean while snorkelling! While in Cuba a few years ago I got the opportunity to volunteer on an initiative that was capturing the invasive lion fish in the area and turning their catch into meals for the local community.
