Hi! I'm Briana Pavey and I am currently taking the EOSC 270 course this winter Term 2. I'm a second year BMM student majoring in EOAS, and going to minor in data science. I am especially interested in corals, and their symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae. Even more specifically, I am curious about the relationship between the relative distribution of photosynthetic pigments in zooxanthellae and the availability of / kind of light in the ocean. How humans impact the light availability is probably causing changes in the photosynthetic pigment concentrations in zooxanthellae in different areas.
