Interesting Topic Decision

I found you choice in topic to be an interesting decision, due to all the controversy regarding the American election that is currently being discussed in the social media and the news. I liked the flow of your wiki page and how you provided examples. Try adding some images to brake up the wall of text and to draw readers attention. In addition, check your punctuation. You may want to reread the section titled “Impact on Minority Voters”. Make sure you also properly reference your sources. Maybe you can try to talk about voting discrimination in the last election. Your wiki page over all was interesting to read and very informative, I look forward to reading it when it is complete.

I thought your Wiki page was great and I think it is an important topic to discuss. You covered a fair amount of information and were quite precise however I think it might be helpful to add a section on felony disenfranchisement in the United States. Essentially, those who are convicted with a felony charge are ineligible to vote while incarcerated, on parole, or on probation with voting rights only being restored 2 years after the completion of supervised release. I think it is also important to note that in the United States, the majority of those incarcerated are from minority groups with a large population of African Americans. In other words, a large section of an entire demographic has purposefully had their vote taken away. There is also much evidence that African Americans are being purposefully targetted by law enforcement which certainly is related to institutionalized racism. Even further, this mass incarceration of African Americans has links to the "war on drugs".

A good resource that you can use to begin your research on this is from a documentary titled "13th" (for the 13th amendment). It is available on Netflix though you may be able to stream it/rent it elsewhere.

Also, maybe add a link to the wiki page of voter disenfranchisement on yours?

Overall, a really great subject and post!
