Hi, I believe your topic is one that needs to be readily addressed, but by focusing on all of Asia it may be too broad for a project of this size, maybe instead focusing on one region in Asia will help guide your research (focusing just on South East Asia, South Asia, etc.). I think if you were comparing China and Japan's views on the LGBTQ community, you may want to discuss how being a democracy vs an authoritarian regime plays a part in citizens' ability to express themselves. A discussion on LGBTQ characters in Asian media may be useful in understanding how different countries portray/ don't portray characters that don't fit the heterosexual norm. Good luck!
