Hi,
Like many others here, I was very intrigued by this topic because I certainly agree that women are under-represented in Ski-jumping. Like many male-dominated sports, like the WNBA, we see that women have taken a back seat and are considered less important and I think there should be more public appreciation towards women.
I like that you started us off with the history of male domination in ski jumping, it provides a great foundation for readers to understand the sport and why it has become an issue nowadays. It is alarming to know that there is a lack of female judges as I can see why that may be an issue. I am also alarmed to know that even in this generation, in this modern society, coaches still claim that "Women have a different purpose -- to have children, do housework, to create a family home". That is a bold statement to be making nowadays as we have seen so many women excel in many tremendous things in our society.
You have shown great understanding about this issue in regards to race, however, I would suggest that you include some statistics to give readers a better understanding of the racial imbalance in the sport, a comparison and more research on why this imbalance may be the case in this sport!
I am glad that you have concluded the Wiki page with feminist initiatives and how these issues are recognized and dealt with today. It appears that the female community has a longstanding history with gender discrimination, I would love to see examples of campaigns or examples of what they have in public to advocate for female rights in the sport!
Thank you for sharing, I genuinely enjoyed reading your Wiki page!
