Hi,

Your page is extremely detailed and thorough. The only thing that I would think to add, is to include a focus on how media representation of abortion leads to the stigmatization of abortion. You could discuss, how in Juno, abortion is portrayed as an afterthought and something that is not feasible. Many portrayals of abortion in the mainstream media are not realistic as they often dramatize abortions, rather than seeing it as a medical procedure. You could highlight how Scandal actually took a very different approach in portraying abortion as the writers did not make it theatrical, rather the protagonist, Olivia Pope, simply decided to have an abortion, and did so without outside influence. More representations of abortions that are unbiased in their nature are necessary because most of the time abortion is discussed as a contentious choice, which leads to further stigmatization. I have included an article below on the portrayal of abortion in Scandal and how this short scene is very groundbreaking.
