Hi there,

I really enjoyed reading your Wiki page, as this topic is incredibly important as well as relevant to our discussions in GRSJ. Your use of imagery combined with the varying subsections provide a concise summary of the topic with good examples to back up your argument.

In a country that continues to pride itself on its "universal healthcare", the lack of compassionate care towards indigenous populations in Canada is disappointing and appalling. The fact that systemic racism permeates the world of health should be a topic more widely discussed than it currently is, as it speaks volumes to colonial, patriarchal systems prevalent in society today. Indigenous peoples, despite being on their own stolen land, are victims of colonial violence in the places they are supposed to receive treatment, where it can be a difference between life or death depending on the way you are cared for.
