October 29th update

Hi everyone,

This week I completed the following tasks: - Took a look through the team charter and made a few suggestions to the sections (i.e. background) - Communicated with Kirianna about event outreach with group 14 (took a look at the poster) - Drafted up a short write-up to be used on various social media outlets, emails, etc. (UBC Students from the Land and Food Systems 350 Course has partnered with Gordon Neighbourhood House to organize a “Healthy Homemade Potluck” event for Tuesday, November 18th starting at 7:00-8:00 PM. A fresh salad bar will be featured along with a selection of delicious dishes brought to you by your neighbours and fellow community members. This space will also be offered for dialogue around healthy eating, food security, and recipes on various dishes. Door prizes from Gordon Neighbourhood House’s very own herb garden will also be offered. The event is FREE, so all you have to bring is a dish to share and its recipe, your own plate and cutlery, yourself, and a friend or two!
