Hi,

I believe the topic you have chosen is a very intriguing one as there clearly is less importance placed on female sports even though the talent level may be the same. I think its important that you highlighted the discrepancies between the WNBA and NBA as that is one of the most prominent examples. The highest paid NBA players are making well-over $40 million a year, while WNBA salaries cap out at $110,000. You could discuss the role that the media plays because it only nationally televises NBA games or Men's NCAA games. Below is a link to a Youtube video that you may find useful as it discusses how many WNBA players have to have second jobs or play overseas in order to support their families. This also discusses how women's basketball is extremely popular in China but continues to be neglected in the United States.

You could also further the discussion by highlighting the US national men and women's soccer teams. Over the past few years, the women's team has consistently outperformed the men's team, yet, they continue to earn less and linked below is an article on that.

Hello,

You have done an incredible job analyzing this topic. I myself have never done much research on the topic of "Women in the Sports Industry", so this was quite an enlightening read for me; one I thoroughly enjoyed. They pay gaps. between the women and men are outstandingly atrocious. When I wrote an essay on the pay gap between men and women in Hollywood, I fell across similar numbers so unfortunately I was not surprised.

I would love, if possible, you could add statistics and information regarding how marginalized groups are affected. For example, how do wages differ amongst Paralympic athletes and people of colour? I think addressing this would elevate your page to a higher level.

Once again, great work!
