As an Asian from a country that is influenced by Confucianism myself, I am familiar with this gender preference of man over woman passing from the older generations to younger generations throughout the society. Even until today, this preference still exists and has led to prejudices against woman, imbalance in the sex of the population and individual's and society's well-being. I think you did a great job in providing information that are necessary to support your argument such as the ideologies and beliefs Chinese people hold on gender, the policies,... especially the sex ratio chart.
