A good and focused topic 119:25, 25 July 2018

Great start

Your topic is very relevant to the topics that we have discussed throughout the course. I think you have a majority of your ideas/ points already here since your Wiki page seems to already include a lot of information. Maybe you can include some points in regards to intersectionality and how different traits and cultures can affect one's view on abortion.

Clear and Focused

You wrote of your topic in a very clear and concise way. However, as mentioned, adding graphs and tables may help display the statistics. Alongside, you may look to adding footnotes to each reference and using the same named reference again by just copy and pasting!

Very good detailing!

I really like the topic you chose as well as the amount of detail that you have included. I think that the narrowed and focused topic that you have helps to make specifications about abortion rights as they are different everywhere. I could visibly see the intersections throughout your page. I think it is extremely important that you talked about access in terms of who has access to abortions because this makes it very evident who is more advantaged (has more access) and who is less.

Clear and Concise

Nice topic and article. You had so many great facts about abortions in BC! I would just like to remind you to add a sources list so we know where all the information is coming from and to use footnotes :) I struggled with doing this so I'll give you a few tips! When you want to cite something, just type <ref> after the part you want to cite and a little pop up comes up where you can enter the citation! Then you just type your APA or MLA citation and it automatically makes a references list for you.

Great work overall! Briana

Hey OMG thanks for the tip!! I couldn't figure out how to make the citation so I just kept on using brackets to keep track of my own citations while I was making the wiki but with your help, I was able to do it! Thanks a mil! =)

My comment on your post!

I found your post very interesting and engaging; especially because I am writing on birth control pill in Canada! I found your wiki post to be clear, with an intersectional analysis. Since you added a paragraph or so on the history of abortion in Canada, maybe it would be nice to give a little bit of background on the abortion caravan as I believe this is a huge part of Canadian history!

Concise topic and precendent

Great use of precedent in establishing a base for abortion. It clearly states the historical legal precedent that creates a foundation for you on the issues still at hand. The Wiki page automatically generates a table of contents for you. Choose the second from the top option to create your headings. Once you create over four main headings, the wiki page generates the table of contents for you. You won't be able to see it in your edit format immediately, so switch to your reading format and you will see it up there.

Besides that, it seems like you're on the right path. Your topic seems sufficiently intersectional. Maybe add a little note or subsection explicitly outlining your topic's relation to intersectionality. Abortion is a topic that is easy to become lost in the legal proceedings of each Canadian province. I found your topic to be concise, yet you generate plenty of information. Great job!

A good and focused topic

This is a really good and focused choice of topic, I like that you limited your research to British Columbia. I also like that you delved into issues of access in urban vs. rural areas in regards to getting an abortion.

Although I realize you are still in your draft stage, it would be good to incorporate some pictures to break up your text and links to your various statistics and research. I feel as though you could also delve a bit more into the role of social-cultural beliefs in perceptions of abortion in rural vs urban areas.

hey thanks for the tip!! I almost forgot about the images! Thanks for reminding me!! I am still trying to figure out how to make a table of contents and divide my wiki into sections. I am pretty technologically challenged. >_<'
