Hello,

I really appreciate the well thought out topic of feminism in social media. You gave a great introduced and very in depth background that really helped move along your page. The most interesting part was reflecting off the social feminist movements to add event history to the topic. It gave a really thoughtful and great impact to the reason of importance for these movements and the women involved! Thank you!

Great Examples!

I like how you individually talk about each example of feminist movements on social media. However, I think it would be helpful to talk about feminism as a whole and then go into a bit more depth about fourth-wave feminism. I also think that tying it back to intersectionality would be beneficial. You could talk about how social media is affecting feminist movements in other cultures or how social media has helped to widespread feminist movement. I think there is a lot of great information here but it would be great to do a deeper dive into the topic!!

Interesting topic

This is an interesting topic to talk about especially when #Metoo is a new social movement on the Internet. However, I would like to see more academic analysis based on the information that you have given. I would like to remind you of using at least 5 academic resources as well as an assignment requirement. I hope this feedback helps!

I found the way you incorporated several social media movements interesting. I liked how you gave a brief summary of all of them. You backed up everything you were saying with a variety of sources which is helpful if someone is looking to read more. I liked the way you added in some pictures. I think it would be helpful to tie this back into the course by discussing intersectionality. Going into a depth about one of the social media movements and discussing how it has changed feminism could be a good idea as it would show the audience the strength (or, lack thereof) of social media in the feminist movement.

Compelling topic

You chose a very compelling topic, and covered many different ways in which social media has been used to advocate feminism, with a good amount of links and research to support your information. I would advise going into a bit more depth on certain social media content you found, such as explaining the outcomes or lack thereof of some of these movements. I would also advise discussing the place of intersectionality or lackthereof in Fourth wave feminism... For example, do these movements you covered include all women in their discourse? Many of the movements are started by wealthy and famous women, how does this affect a movements message in regards to accessibility?
