Thank you for your interesting contribution. Reading about this topic made me very emotional since this activity occurs mostly when girls are very young. Thinking about the emotional scarring and confusion they must have gone through is very painful. I liked that you gave images to have a clear perspective of the whole process. I also liked that you provided a touching video to show that this is a real problem. The video truly showed a real-life insight of a woman’s story with this tradition and how it changed her life. I would have liked if you included more about the history of this topic. For example, maybe you could provide dates and times of when this tradition started or fell apart? Furthermore, it would have been interesting to read about what has been done to ban this process and if there are organizations to help women that have undergone serious emotional scaring through this tradition.
