Hi,

I find your topic very interesting and important, however, it is broad and could be narrowed down to focus on a specific racial group that is discriminated against, or on a specific area that discriminates against people of colour (like Hollywood, the employment hiring process, or the federal prison system). If you were to focus on Hollywood, you could highlight how people of colour are not given lead roles and sometimes white people are given roles that are intended to be played by people of colour. For example, Breakfast at Tiffany's, a very iconic film, featured a white actor portraying a very racist and stereotypical character who was supposed to be of Asian descent. Instead of hiring an Asian actor to play this role, the directors decided to cast a white male actor and then make the character extremely racist. Also, Hollywood pays women of colour less than white women for the same amount of screen time. This could also be further explored in your wiki page.

Here is an article on that specific role: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/2018/02/20/whitewashing-black-face-movies-hollywoods-colourful-history/mickey-rooney/

If you were to focus on the job industry, you could discuss how many people of colour are discriminated against on the basis of their name and are often not given an interview if their name is viewed as "too foreign". Also, many black people are discriminated against on the basis of their natural hair and are often criticized for wearing cornrows or having an afro. However, when a white person does it, it is considered beautiful. Recently, Amazon's hiring algorithm revealed sexist and racist tendencies, which shows that AI has not eliminated human tendencies of discrimination.

Here is an article further explaining the discriminatory practices by Amazon:https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/amazon-ai-sexist-recruitment-tool-algorithm-a8579161.html

Thank you for your feedback! I'll definitely take a look at the links and try to narrow down my topic.
