You listed all you intended to do as "something extra". Among what you have written, what is the basic part and what is the in-depth part?

For the basic part, it is sufficient to write one classifier in Haskell.

For the in-depth part, you may train different classifiers and compare them. You may spend some time on feature selection. You may compare implementations of classifiers in Haskell and other languages. Be sure to do something interesting as the in-depth part.
