Survivor Story Addition Suggestion

What a terrific and thorough Wiki page. I really enjoyed reading it and thought that you covered a lot of ground with your research. One suggestion could be to include links to some of the survivor stories or any of the tv/film series that covered some of the topics that you have discussed. However, this might have been something that you considered and were unable to include due to copyright restrictions. Overall - great job!

Suggestion (Andy Cheng)

Overall I really enjoyed how thorough the Wiki article is. A suggestion I have for you is to try implementing some pictures that are impactful in telling the entire story. Example may be in your "Survivor stories" section, you can put in hyperlinks to interviews or pictures of someone who was willing to expose the terror that happened to them. Last but not least, just a formatting issue is that it will be a lot more visually appealing if you removed the repetitive title as the "heading" then moved the "Overview" section naming it "subheading 1".

Nice Wiki post. Perhaps you could add on to the residential schools and say how the children were abused or maybe how they were only given education up to grade 5 and only groomed for manual labor. These are some ideas you could include and expand on!

I really enjoyed reading your Wiki post, as it provided a lot of very valuable information on the history of Indigenous post-colonial oppression here in Canada. Your page was very in depth, and I appreciate how you provided an "OVERVIEW" header from the start as many people are unaware/fully educated on all that has happened in the past. I as well, on my own page, touched upon Residential Schools and its lasting effects as it is something which needs to be taken extremely seriously. Secondly, I found that by you ending off your page with the header "Survivors' Stories", you were able to humanize the situation and allow the reader to see that these were innocent children that were taken and hurt. Overall, great submission and your numerous sources you used were very credible.

Some Suggestions

Hi, Great topic! I think it ties into our course material very well. I think you could do some minor edits to make your page look more finished. I suggest removing the repeated title following contents and make references its own section by adding a title before the list of references. Also make sure you’re consistent in either using “First Nations” or “Aboriginal” throughout your page.
