This is a really interesting submission- especially because I had no idea about the regulations on abortion in Ireland! When I first read your introduction I was questioning the significance does abortion in Ireland stand out? But you did eventually prove what stands out about Ireland. Something that I think you could touch more on is what is being done now to change This. you briefly noted that but part of what is so fascinating about this topic to me is that there are no large political movements or referendums in the works.

Peer Feedback - Good job!

Hi! I like that you have chosen to talk about Abortion in Ireland for your assignment. I think abortion is a topic that a lot of people have some knowledge about and I like that you have focused your topic on only one country. Having specified Ireland gives you the opportunity to write in depth about the issue in comparison to providing information about various countries at a surface level.

Just a couple suggestions :) Explaining the sides of the controversial debate surrounding abortion would make your introduction more clear, using words like pro-choice or pro-life. As well under your section "Types of Abortions", it would be more clear if you lined up the image of surgical abortion with the surgical abortion paragraph and lined up the image of the abortion pill with the abortion pill section. Lastly, I think it is important to add in-text citations to all your information.

Overall, I think you have done a good job and hope my suggestions are helpful!

Sincerely, Alessandra Antunes

 Hello!

I think your topic is extremely informative and I learnt a lot from the information provided. Firstly I was drawn to this because I was born in Ireland and have strong family ties to the country even though i have lived in Canada for pretty much my entire life, And I have never known that abortion was illegal in Ireland. I would think maybe this has to do with some sort of religious ties the country has, since Ireland is primarily catholic and there is a lot of irish people who actively practice their faith. This is quite the contrary to my upbringing since i grew up in Vancouver a very liberal city and have always and still have a very 'pro choice' outlook on the issue of abortion.

All in All very informative and you're doing a great job so far! my suggestion is to add-in text citations !

thanks!
