adding some Bible passages

Hi, thanks for providing great information about abortion debate. I just added some Bible passages (Galatians 1:15, Luke 1:15, 44, Psalm 139:13) that are at the base of Christian viewpoint of abortion on the section of “Pro-life argument” of your page. I hope those phrases that demonstrate basic Christian perception of abortion that human life is created by God’s plan before taking its form in mother’s womb and the fertilization is practically the beginning of a new life would be helpful to understand the relationship between Christianity and abortion. Thanks.

References

Hi Carmen,

I see you may be having some issues with referencing the sites you used. I have added a references section for you. Do you need help with this? If so, reach out to me and I can try and help!

Also, I think it would be interesting if you added a section on the Canadian governments views and where they stand on this debate.

The Role of Government

Hi Carmen, I see you have already covered a broad range of ideas in your wiki but I thought I would give you one more. Have you considered adding additional information on the role the government and particularly the judiciary plays in this debate in Canada. The Constitution Act, 1982, brought with it The Charter of Rights and Freedoms which changed the game for personal rights in Canada.

Additionally, there is a very famous series of Canadian cases you might wish to draw on. These are the cases of R. v. Morgentaler. In these cases, the Supreme Court found that the abortion provision was unconstitutional as it violated women's rights (the rights in the charter).

Suggestion!

Hello! I enjoyed your read on the Abortion Debate! Maybe you should have a section on public opinion! This may be from a specific country or if you can get some statistics that show a generalized world population perspective.

Limits on Children

Would it be useful to you to include Asian countries that have limits on how many children one is allowed to have? That could fall under "population control", and you could talk about the ethical dilemmas of infanticide as well.

Hey Rebecca! That's an awesome suggestion. I'll definitely look into it! Thanks!

"Views on Rape"

Hi Carmen! It looks like we are pretty much focusing on the same topic/debate for our wiki assignments! I know you are just at a rough draft stage of the assignment, but I am very interested to see how you elaborate on your section about "views on rape" as that is an issue within this topic that I hadn't really considered including in my wiki. Come check out my page Pro Life vs. Pro Choice and feel free to hyperlink it if you feel that it fits somewhere into your wiki. I will certainly be hyperlinking yours!
