Taking the logaritm of the orignal function, we have logf=xlog(2+cosx), Computing its derivative (using the product rule for the right hand side) gives f(x)f(x)=log(2+cosx)+x2+cosx(sinx) so after rearranging, we obtain f(x)=(2+cos(x))x(log(2+cos(x))xsin(x)2+cos(x)).
