Science:Math Exam Resources/Courses/MATH100/December 2014/Question 08 (f)/Solution 1

From UBC Wiki

The second derivative is defined everywhere on the domain. The only zero occurs at

3log(x)=8x=e8/3

So we examine:

(0,e8/3):f(x)=negpos=negconcave down(e8/3,):f(x)=pospos=posconcave up

So, the only inflection point is at (e83,f(e83))=(e83,83e4/3).
