The UBC midwifery program is a four-year, full time program leading to the Bachelor of Midwifery degree. The curriculum combines broad-based knowledge and understanding in the humanities and the social and bio-medical sciences.

The Bachelor of Health Sciences in Midwifery degree can be completed in four to six years at Ryerson. Midwifery allows you to enroll part-time in the non-clinical courses - which comprise the first three semesters - but requires a full-time commitment for the clinical placements in the final six semesters.

Seattle Midwifery School (now Bastyr University) has been educating childbirth professionals for more than 30 years. Our well-known, rigorous midwifery training program, founded in 1978, is the oldest direct-entry midwifery program in the country.
