Test Your Knowledge

5.1 Test Your Knowledge Peer-reviewed articles often take months or years to be published because

  1. Scholars write slowly
  2. Scholars procrastinate and don’t meet the publishing deadlines
  3. Scholars often have to re-write and edit their article several times to meet the strict academic criteria of peer-reviewed journals
  4. Scholars want students to have to work harder for their assignments and so don’t publish articles on topics they are assigning in classes.
