How Can I Use This?


You can save time and increase the effectiveness of your searches by understanding these fundamental search strategies.

By the end of this module looking at the fundamentals of searching, you will be able to:

  1. Brainstorm for keywords that best describe your research question
  2. Use the Boolean Operators AND and OR to improve the relevancy of your results
  3. Use Truncation to broaden your results
  4. Use Phrase searching to improve the accuracy of your results
