Printing on Public Computers

  1. Print as you would on any computer (in most programs, under File -> Print). Note: If you would like to print in colour, choose the colour queue for the Printer name.
  2. After you have printed, make note of the computer workstation name and number (e.g. Woodward-27) and locate the nearest print station.
  3. Once at the print station, insert your UBC Library copy card and enter the appropriate workstation name and number for Workstation ID when prompted.
  4. Select that print job(s) that you would like printed (to deselect, click the job again).
  5. Click on Print (or Cancel to exit without printing).

Please note that files are cleared once printing is completed and unprinted jobs are cleared overnight.

UBC Library Print Stations cannot print transparencies. If you would like transparencies printed, library staff can do so for a fee. Please see copy services by staff for more information.

If you are having difficulties printing, please ask for assistance at the nearest reference or circulation desk.
