Summary
LeRoy runs away from his home in a Chicago housing project to live with his grandfather, a shrimp fisherman in Mississippi, after witnessing an assault on his neighbour. His neighbour's assailants believe LeRoy has identified them to the police and Leroy flees in order to protect himself. But when the Chicago police find him he must decide whether he will risk his life testifying or not.
