Learning Commons:Content/Criteria for New Content

From UBC Wiki

Overview

These criteria support the mission and goals for the Learning Commons project:

  • to provide first and second year students with coordinated and collaborative point of contact to access resources which support their academic success
  • for students to develop content (with support from the Advisory committee and content experts)
  • to work collaboratively with Faculty and staff representatives to develop approaches for sharing content on Learning Commons that uses a republishing framework (RSS feeds etc) - to minimize workload and allow maximum flexibility for users (students, staff, and faculty).
  • attention to the student as a whole person - but focused on aspects that support academic development
