Equipment Lending
CLCA Equipment Checklist – Lending Items
- Has the patron signed a Laptop or Equipment Lending Agreement?
- You can check by looking at the “Notes” section on Voyager
- Are all of the pieces of equipment present?
- Does the Patron have a LibCal reservation?
- On LibCal, select item then choose “Mark item for checkout”
- Click the blue “Check Out / Pick Up Selected Items” button to confirm
- Modify due date on Voyager to match due date on LibCal
- Charge item on Voyager:
- Click “Charge”
- Scan Patron’s UBC card
- Scan item barcode
- There will be a “C” next to the item and its due date
- Tell the patron when the item is due (15 – 30 mins before due date on Voyager)
- Please do NOT say by end of day
- Place equipment bag on back counter
CLCA Equipment Checklist – Returning Items
- Check equipment in front of patron to ensure all of the pieces are present
- Discharge item on Voyager:
- Click “Discharge”
- Scan item barcode
- If item has been properly discharged, there will no longer be a “C” beside it. This can be doublechecked by clicking “Item” - the Item Status will be “Not Charged”.
- If item has orange tape (i.e. is a reservable item):
- On LibCal, select item then choose “Check this item in”
- Click the blue “Check In / Return Selected Items” button to confirm
- Place equipment in its corresponding bag and in the correct equipment cabinet
- Ensure Laptops & iPads have been ghosted, Memory Cards have been wiped
