Course Announcements Summer 2026

Week 1: Welcome!

Welcome Everyone! I'm so happy to see you all here and to be teaching this course this summer. It's a fun course, and an absorbing topic I always find. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.

Since we are operating without Canvas at the moment, this will be a truncated first announcement and will direct you around the Wiki site I've created, so you can get all the materials for the course. Once Canvas is back up, I'll make sure everything is available to you there, and we will be able to have a more robust experience.

First things first: Go to the Start Here document on the main LIBR 545 Wiki page for this course and it will direct you through the first week, outlining the activities and tasks I'd like you to undertake as we get started.

Naturally, if you have any questions for me, please be sure to get in touch. I'm always happy to answer questions. Email me at the email address listed in the course syllabus. I'm minimizing sharing private information here due to the public nature of the wiki. You can also post questions directly to the wiki, in the "Questions" link on the main LIBR 545 Wiki page.
