SAS
The LFS Learning Centre provides remote access to SAS for LFS faculty and graduate students.
How to Connect
X Windows
Download and install MobaXTerm for Windows users.
Download and install XQuartz for OS X users.
Connecting to the SAS Server
Host: ubclfs-sas.landfood.ubc.ca
Run MobaXTerm or XQuartz and insert the hostname above. Both MobaXTerm and XQuartz will forward X11 by default.
Running SAS
In the shell, type in,
sas &
The X11 windows will start to appear on your computer.
SAS Remote Browser
Click on a help link, an error box will appear and there will be a link for the SAS Remote Browser.
Once this is installed, SAS help pages and result pages will be displayed on your computer via your web browser.
