John Macdonald

John Barfoot Macdonald (February 23, 1918 - December 23, 2014) was the fourth president of the University of British Columbia.[1] Serving from 1962 to 1967, he contributed to the growth of higher education in British Columbia as a whole.[1] Simon Fraser University and the University of Victoria were established following Macdonald's recommendations in his 1962 report, Higher Education in British Columbia and a Plan for the Future.[1][2][3]
