English: The only oasis visible for a long stretch can be seen in the background of this desert making farming and rearing animals really difficult for the people in this region. Access to electricity, clean water and the internet is also non existent. The desert is slowly creeping into the north eastern parts of Nigeria with little efforts to curb or mitigate it.
