Summary

Description
English: The black flying fox is one of three species of Pteropus that forage for fruit, nectar and pollen in the trees of 7th Brigade Park, Chermside. Black flying foxes are common and conspicuous by their silhouette as they fly overhead and by their shrill vocalisation while feeding. A small camp of black flying foxes roosts in the canopy of mature revegetation plantings over Somerset Creek.
