Some suggestions for edits:

Typo: Changing 'Political' to 'political': "FPE is a relatively young subsection of Political ecology. "

Perhaps re-titling the Maternalism section to 'Ecomaternalism' or something that is related to environmental activism? The two definitions below deal specifically with the links between maternalism and environmental activism, rather than the many other types of social activism, so this would be a more accurate title.

Typo: "Some activist[s] who believe their word to be under the umbrella of FPE may make essentialist claims I[in] order to gain attention to their cause"

I would suggest moving the 'Popularity' section above Criticisms or even above Scope, to improve the narrative flow.
