UBC Reads Sustainability is a joint initiative from AMS Sustainability and UBC Sustainability Initiative.
Last year, with support from UBC MIX, this program hosted lectures by authors David Korten, Stewart Brand, and David Montgomery. These lectures were advertised widely to classes from anthropology and political science to biology and engineering (with close to 250 attendees and student representation from all of these departments). Curricula from CIVL 201 and ANTH 360 already included material by Stewart Brand and students could participate for an extra-credit assignment.
UBC MIX, UBC Reads Sustainability, and the Terry* project continue to work together on this initiative.
